These beers are based on commercial brews & are aimed primarily at the extract brewer. Liquid malt extract is mostly quoted but dry extract can be used (multiply the extract weight by 0.849), grains can also be used (multiply the extract weight by 1.375 for 75% efficiency). The design hop alpha-acid figures are generally quoted & so you can re-calculate the weights if you have current figures.
Note that the recipes are not clones, designed to taste like their commercial counterparts but simply aim to be similar in style. I cannot be held responsible for any errors or the consequences if you follow any recipes.
The recipes generally allow for around 5g/litre priming sugar but it is best to check the quantities before brewing you could try the free YoBrew calculator www.yobrew.co.uk/calculators.php.

CHIMAY Trappist:-
Blanche or Cinq Centsis (White 8% bottled, 10°C min.) is a golden, amber tripel with a malty flavour. The hoppi, dri beer they produce. Blanche is named after the whitish cap. Pilsner & cara malts, Hallertau & Galena.
Bleau or Grande Reserve is rich & fruity (Blue 9% bottled, 15-18°C) & is their strong/most complex bier. First introduced as a Christmas drink.
Rouge or Premiere (Red 7% bottled, 15-18°C) is rich & redish brown in colour with a spicy, fruity flavour & a red cap. Same hops as White.

Adapted from a recipe published in the “Mail On Sunday” & on the “mailonline” site. The original grain recipe mashes 23 litres & boils the same ammount for 105 mins, Irish moss is added at the start. It may be worthwile re-calculation for smaller mash & boil volumes. It uses “fast-acting” yeast, the only ones I’ve ever seen are for making bread.

This appears to be a “hybrid” style beer - an American cross between a lager & an ale, aimed at those who like cheap lagers. The Cascade finishing hops should give a citrousy aroma & taste. The beer was featured in a puerile TV series full of stupid behaviour, bad language & what appeared to be scripted but badly executed stage managed “situations”. The shows “stars” were a so called “comedy actor” & some bloke who cooks. Let’s hope the beer has more taste than them.
